Joey Doesn’t Share Food!

[11 March 2017] Advanced Birthday Celebration with my very own Phoebe & Monica!

Central Perk Singapore

I’ve been a FRIENDS fan for as long as I can remember. I’ve re-watched season 1 to 10 more than I can count so I pretty much have got the script memorized!  So it doesn’t  make sense to me when someone tells me “I haven’t watched Friends”. I always feel like you can’t possibly be my friend if you haven’t watched Friends. It’s the best TV show on earth, guys!

So we decided to check out the newly opened Central Perk and had coffee before dinner.

We didn’t order any main course because we already made reservations at RV burger, but the menu looks so fuckin’ awesome, we agreed we would come back for the food. I think the place probably just looks a little too brand new; Give it a few more months, it will very likely look a little bit more rustic and authentic. It is a lot bigger than expected though. Oh, and I love that they’re streaming episodes of Friends on the big screen. I could probably sit there all day. I didn’t take a picture of the trademark couch cos there were a big group of people already lounging. But hey, there’s always a next time!

And of course my favorite part of the whole cafe – Monica’s Kitchen! It was probably the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. #replicaonpoint

I mean, seriously… How cute does everything look?!

Look, guys… Hugsy!!!

I cannot wait to return! And maybe by then, their marketing department would have realized their merchandise are way too pricey, and hopefully bring the prices down soon lah hor?

We headed off to RV burger right after – where everyone loved their beef burger. Not being a fan of red meat, I ordered the chicken burger which wasn’t so great.

After dinner, the girls surprised me with the cutest cake! I honestly was not expecting it at all.

🎶I’ll be there for youuuu, when the rain starts to fall🎶

Melted polka dots; but still cute nonetheless.

I cannot thank these people enough for bringing so much color and joy into my life. I am truly very appreciative of everything they do for me. It was an incredibly great day!

Life is no picnic, unless you are at a picnic!

[26 February 2017] – Because I’ve been lazy to blog.

I have always enjoyed planning parties and seeing it all come together, but this surprise picnic I planned for Sherry was by far my favorite!

Botanical Garden is such a lovely place for an intimate picnic because of the space – no matter how many other groups decide to have a picnic that day, there won’t be a problem of overcrowding. So you can lay out the biggest mat you have and you still have a lot of grounds to yourself!

We laid out a hugeass 2mx2m picnic mat, enough for 6 people to comfortably sit on, and set up all the items, 80% of which were bought from Daiso – which happens to be my favorite place on earth to buy all the nonsense I want and may not need!

I fried some of our favorite food and we bought sushi and croissant – to have a little bit of sandwich picnic feels.

Birthday girl loves donuts, and I noticed how nobody really finishes a birthday cake at parites when there are so many other food to eat… So a donut-stacked cake it is.

Of course it rained 10 min after this photo was taken, so we ran to the nearest shelter just 10 feet away. And since picnic is a state of mind, we had our picnic under the huge shelter and had a ton of fun anyway! We ate and we ate and played charades until the sun disappeared.

Unfortunately, the day did not end very well for the birthday girl. Apparently she’s allergic to some insects, and went home with hives and ended up having to get needle-poked by the doctor.

After this picnic, I had a very strong urge to have another picnic, something a little more elevated! Growing up, my family and I go on a lot of picnics. I have always enjoyed them a lot, and I think I want to start having more picnics in future. All I’m missing now is a picnic basket!

Follow on Instagram for more off-shoulder dresses like these! Yes, my collection is 90% off shoulder because I’m obsessed with them!

Also, how pretty are the new mailing & non-mailing tags? I had a ton of fun designing the new logo! Feeling really, really good about the changes I’ve made so far. ❤

I wish people knew how to respect my decisions. I have always been a very hard-headed person. But I am also extremely self-aware, which means I know exactly what I want.

Ergo, when I say NO to something, it means I have already thought long and hard about it and I don’t appreciate anyone trying to change my mind. You can try, and we can parry back and forth about it all you want, but don’t get agitated when you aren’t successful in swaying my already made up mind.

If you honestly just have my “best interest at heart”, then please respect that it is my life – I know exactly what I’m doing and what I need to do.
